[T3] Gel batteries

Put it this way, had a Optima Red Top I bought in 1997 and used it daily
for 14 years. I sold it to a customer 2 years ago. He is still running it.
They are amazing products.

That being said, I had a Yellow Top in my '68 Double Cab and the stock 52
amp generator could not charge it. I had to switch to a generic FLAPS lead
acid and everything has been fine since. Also, a customer had me install a
Blue Top for the 2nd battery in his Westfalia. The stock 55 amp alternator
won't keep up either (I told him there was a reason Westfalia sent buses
out with 70 amp alternators when equipped with the 2nd battery option).

So, i have probably installed two-dozen Red Top batteries in the last 3
years and never a complaint. I'll stand by them.
