What gauge wire is typically used for these d-Jet injectors?

I'm pretty sure these will work, but my recommendation would be to buy replacement female pins from Keith and crimp/solder them to the ends of your remaining wire. That avoids the inline splices that tend to come back to haunt most people.

You could go ahead with the Standard parts if your wires are so damaged that they would be too short to replace just the female pins. 
If you do this, however, you should solder the splice and cover it with heat shrink tubing.
