[T3] 32 PDSIT Carb Oddity

Been talking with Jonce Fanchers about the carbs on his 66 Square. Ever since he got it out of storage this spring and back on the road, it falls flat on its face at about 55 mph. Like it is running out of gas. Idles and otherwise runs OK.

He called me this afternoon after he found an odd difference between the LH and RH carbs. I check the two pairs of 32 PDSIT carbs I had here and found the same oddity. One set of carbs has two injector tubes just below the choke butterfly and the other has a single injector tube. Seems Jonce has a mix of the two types on his car.

Here is a picture of what I am taking about.

One of these is also missing the high speed pick-up tube and completely hacked. But there is a divot for the injector tube, it is just not drilled out.

So what is the deal with these? Are there two versions of the 32 PDSIT carbs? All the marking and numbers and such are the same on both carbs.
