It was in for over a month, got it back, drove it three days and it was back in the shop for the same problem. They had it three weeks and I picked it up and 15 minutes down the road had to U-turn and take it back for the same problem. It's cutting out when I accelerate and won't get over hills. I got the filler hose kit from Jim Adney and that was put in or at least the filler part. Someone previously had clamped off my vent and my mechanic fixed that, but couldn't figure out where the vent part was supposed to go, so that was not used. He drained and cleaned the tank. I asked him to do the fuel lines and fuel filter too. I don't think that was done. The second trip to the shop, the fuel filter was replaced. It was all clogged up. I haven't had any news on what's going on with it now. It's been there two

Terrie Ann,

You might want to tell Keith where you are and give a description of
what problem you're having. I'm sorry to hear that this hasn't gotten
fixed. It sounds like your cracked overflow hose may have let your
gas tank fill with dirt and/or get rusty inside.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't try to install my kits yourself. I
think the opening paragraph of my instructions tell you not to ask
your mechanic to do it, because they won't know what to do. The
problem is that they will be in too much of a hurry to bother reading
directions.

Keith is probably close enough to be able to help, and it seems
likely that you really don't need that much work done by now. Your
car should be able to drive that far, assuming you're willing to take
your time.

I'd be glad to help, too, but that's a much longer drive. Worst case:
Wait until next spring, when we'll all be in upstate New York. ;-)
