I think you're confusing some of the abbreviations: AAR is the Aux 
Air Regulator, a separate part just to the right of the distributor. 
It does not get vacuum, it gets clean air from the air cleaner. If 
yours is gone, you need a replacement. I have good ones.

You should get a correct end cover for your IAD, one that has the 
tube to connect to the PCV valve. I probably have one.

In that case, I'd get a correct '72-3 air cleaner that has 2 more 
clean air ports for the breather hoses to the heads. I probably have 
one, but I'd have to check to be sure.

Sounds like you're close to having the right parts. I'd just replace 
the air cleaner and the AAR (unless you realize now that yours is 
there.) Plus some hoses, of course.
