[T3] Stinking Hood.....

A past squareback, a 73, had hood latching problems.   At the same time the front end of the car was slowly getting lower and lower.
   Turned out that the two arms coming from the car frame...the arms that hold the axle beam...were rusting out and bending.   I tried one attempt at having a welder friend rebuild as much as possible of the rusted metal, but that "cure" didn't last.  The car took a couple of years to become useless.  We even drove it back and forth across the country before it got too bad.

   The car is now a parts car.   Apparently there is no way to properly fix that rust problem because you'd never get the front alignment right.

  Anyway, I hope this "stinking hood" problem doesn't involve rust in those axle beam supports.
