Chris;
How long ago was this? I mean, how long did the rubber intake boot last
after you installed the new muffler?

could the heat damage the rubber? thansk kk

I switched to aftermarket after my heater boxes gave up the ghost. I
have
it installed with J Pipes on my Fastback. I got the model where the
muffler
is tucked under the rear apron for more ground clearance. I have been
happy
with it - a bit more horsepower, quieter ride without leaks, and good
clearance backing out of the driveway. But the answer is 'yes' regarding
the rubber. After 10 months the rubber air intake boot was cooked and
had
come loose due to shrinkage. I replaced it with new Rubber and have been
okay since. Both the muffler and Rubber boot are available from ebay
seller
pimpride from carson california.
