Oh yes, they are known as "Bellows Burners"
Some have a heat shield, they are better but still, all that heat right next
to aging 0riginal rubber or crappy repro rubber, not a good idea.

Id stick with stock, there seems to be something wrong with nearly every
aftermarket design from them simply breaking off in a couple thousand miles
to restrictive banana in the tail pipe units.

I still see a lot of NOS stock on the Samba.

does anyone have any experience with these after market mufflers? they say
you can use the stock heat exchangers but it doesnt look right to me. also
the muffler looks pretty close to the rubber boot for the air intake, could
the heat damage the rubber? thansk kk
