If you want into the US near Buffalo, use the rainbow bridge in Niagara
Falls, there is another up there north of that you can use too but that
name eludes me.... of course this info comes from my experience 25 years ago
when I used to ride my Bike across the boarder with NO wait!

Bob H. mentioned to me last September, he MAY consider saving about 3
hours by going into Canada from Port Huron(?) and exiting Canada in
New York somewhere.
His concern was, border crossings can sometimes take hours of
"waiting" time, plus about 200 (extra) miles by staying in the U.S.
and dealing with Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland, etc. for the trip.

I only mentioned it to Gary, as I have a Canadian radio station that
broadcasts traffic conditions on the bridge to Canada (it's 11 miles away).
They
let potential visitors know the wait time to enter. When Sue and I went to
Keith's, around Buffalo, I had a local station on in the truck, and they
were discussing wait times on the Freedom Bridge being 3 hours on that
particular day. Note, these wait times I had heard were on non-holiday
weekends.
:O But, it is a 3 hour+ time drop, IF there's no wait for customs (either
set on each end). But with the way things are today, it'll probably be a
long wait to enter (either country). So, I'll probably go south, before
going east, then go north around lake Erie.
