Like  John said, it can be cool and really nice (for us northerners), or it 
could  actually get hot. I've seen both extremes (last summer and this 
summer), but  then I'm west of Dave, and north of John, and my weather is 
different  from John's most days (even though I'm 60 miles north of him). But what 
we  call "hot", might be really nice for you, and our "cool" might be cold 
(at  least my dad who is from Texas tells me).  
But, I'm staying at the Host Hotel, as I'm getting a little too old for  
sleeping on the ground. ;-)
