[T3] Dints in the side trims?

It may be helpful filing a slug of metal to fit the profile of the strip. I
did one for my Beetle running-board trim - your '66 side trim is the wider
side profile I assume. Be careful - Beetle ones were polished anodised -
not easy to repolish without destroying the anodising. Is the Type 3 wide
rocker (sill) trim stainless? If so, you can do almost anything and get the
polished surface back again after tapping out the dents.

Subject: [T3] Dints in the side trims?

Hello everybody from Down Under (Australia),

I am wondering if anyone has or attempted to remove dints from the Stainless
Steel side body trims of type 3s?

New are expensive from this part of the world and good second hand ones
almost impossible to find here.

Will experiment on an old trim to see how successful small beating works!

We are having high temperatures here (40 Deg Cel.) and bush fires, a
complete contrast to most of your Northern States!

Regards,
