[T3] Heads are toast, rebuild time

For those following my latest issue, after 3000 miles (actually a bit less
because I was noticing performance issues), I checked my valve clearances
only to discover that on a cold engine there was zero clearance on my
exhaust valves. I reset them and drove to/from work a few times since
then. After maybe about 300 more miles, my exhaust valves have drifted
from .006 to about .002 on all 4 exhaust valves. I think it's time to stop
driving until this gets fixed.

I'm going to pull the engine when I can find some spare time and extra
help. Since I'm going to have the engine out anyway (and I don't really
trust the internals that I put together 17 years ago), I'll probably do a
complete rebuild so I don't find myself here again in a few years.

Jim: In the interim, I'll be in touch to have you check my
distributor/generator. I figure I might as well since I have never sent
these to you and I'll certainly have the downtime.

I also need to locate (because I realize mine is missing -- perhaps the
cause of the overheating) the foam stuff that goes on top of the oil
cooler. Jim, do you have some? If so, set some aside for me and you can
send it back with the distributor/generator.
