[T3] Type 3 VS Type 4 Final Drive

Transmission in. Started her up and it just sounds like grinding gears. I checked the pump shaft and torque converter three times before I mated the engine and tranny. Did the torque converter fall out if it's holes? 

What else do I need to check?
