That sounds encouraging, Jim.

Talking of late clocks, I assumed mine had failed when it stopped when I
put on the hazards during a trip to Germany 3 years ago, but when I was
trouble-shooting a 12-yr old dead battery (Interior light fault that meant
current was flowing, but not enough to make it light), I got a new
battery, and the clock started up!  Problems with the fuse or holder I
suspect, but I've not had time to follow it up.
