[T3] Caliper width

This sounds like a Varga caliper to me. I've got them on my 65, and had  to 
grind some of the "hump" down to clear a set of 8 spokes back in the  day.
 
I believe the ATE brand calipers don't have that "hump". At least the 66  
to 71 version doesn't. I could be wrong too.
