Re: 71 T-III dual-bleeder-valve brake caliper.

Situation:   Leaky hose between caliper to linkage to metal brake line.  Another hose salvaged from one of the parts cars.  It looked good.  Cleaned the threads and installed it.
I grabbed a neighbor to pump the brakes to bleed.   Only  twice did air and brake fluid squirt from the bleeder valves.   The liquid was at first brown rusty looking, then it seemed normal.

But then...no heavy pushing on brake pedal managed to make pedal go to the floor Even Though one valve or the other was open.  Once, maybe a drop or two of fluid dripped out. No squirt.  The brakes could not be bled...at least at that wheel.

But...brakes seem to work OK.

So...Could it be that the short length of brake hose was home to some spiders or something...as it wasn't connected to anything in the parts car?   If so, could THAT plug up something in spite of the significant pressure on the brake pedal?

Caliper isn't that great...reluctant to back off after breaking (warm-hot hub cap feel), but don't know if that plays a role.

When re-installing the caliper, it didn't take too much from a C-clamp to push the cylinders in to easily slip in the brake pads.

Where to look for what's causing problem?  In the hose? In the caliper?
