[T3] Distributor clips

I've got an aluminum distributor that is missing both of its cap clips. Until recently, all of my experience with Bosch distributors has been with the earlier cast iron models, which have a far more durable clip design.  I'm guessing the thing to do once I find some clips is to try to peen the aluminum to hold the clips in. 

My question is if anyone who's had more experience with these aluminum distributors has come up with a better way to keep the clips from falling out.
