[T3] So I was doing an oil change....

Fresh oil for the winter storage and I noticed my thermostat was blown,
CRAP!  Dwindling supply of these.  but when removing it I found that the rod
was detached,  HUH?

Threads looked good on the rod and in the bellows,  how could that have
happened?  And how long was it detached?  I do check it at oil changes so I
doubt it was off for long but 

Does anyone else notice that when the thermostats DO die, its always just as
your getting into real cold weather when you really need them?

 

I changed it out, but still. dwindling supply, I may take the old one and
try and find the hole.  What kind of Alcohol is in them?
