Good idea!  I checked a spare set and unfortunately, they're smaller.
The hinges have 8mm pins, and the shift coupler pin is 10mm.  The clip's
narrowest dimension is 8mm, so I imagine that's approximately the size
of the groove in the pin.  My calipers are too wide to get in there.

The OD of the backrest pin is 10mm.  Like the coupler, I imagine the
groove that the clip fits into is ~8mm.
