The other question that needs to be asked is whether your front tires 
are standard size. If they are smaller than the stock 165-15 size, 
then the speedo will read low, but the odo will also read low. In 
that case, however, the error will be proportional to the speed. So 
the error at 60 mi/hr will be twice as big as that at 30.

That problem can also be fixed, but it requires changing the speedo 
gearing, but only an authorized VDO shop will have the right parts. 
There are a few such shops in the US. I'm sure they do good  
work, but they also charge real $$$.
