While  the hoses look as nice as those you might find on AC systems, I 
think  these parts look like an electric fuel pump and filter/water 
separator,  probably for a factory installed Eberspracher gasoline  
heater.
 
Yes, those are parts of a gas heater. Are there any more parts up front (in 
 front of the spare tire)? Just asking, as that car could have gotten an  
"east-west" gas heater, rather than 1 found next to the fuel tank. Contact 
Jason  Weigel (Notchboy on the Samba), as he's very familiar with these 
systems.
