Check to make sure you have a fuctioning crankcase breather. If your 
plumbing plug in the breather box is in too far, it may have blocked 
the vent. If you have no vent, pressure buildup in the case will push 
oil out the back of the engine. Too much end play, or a loose #1 main 
bearing, can cause this, too.

Check the vent by trying to blow in the vent hose. You should be able 
to tell the difference between blowing into a blocked off hose and 
into a sealed engine (or you can take of a valve cover and you'll be 
blowing freely THRU the engine.)

Use a long screwdriver, with the blunt end stuck in one ear, to 
listen to different parts of the engine. That should give you a 
better idea of where the noise is coming from.
