[T3] Clutch Kit Recommendations

The verdict is in. The main bearings are trashed. #4 spun, somehow feel
back into place, but there is a high spot that was catching and causing
interference. You couldn't get the crank to spin in case once we split it
apart.

#1 (thrust) was installed wrong when rebuilt. When he put the case together
he missed the dowel hole and crushed a second dowel hole next to the
correct dowel hole. This caused a high spot in the bearing. Causing
scarring and a nice gouge in the bearing face.

We also found that #3 and #4 cylinder looked like oil was getting by and
the jug of #3 scared from water sitting in the cylinder. So much for new
jugs and cylinders as told top me in the sale.

We caught it soon enough that everything is salvageable. I am talking the
case and rotating assembly to a local vw shop to see if the case is ok. I
think I will buy some new pistons and cylinders just to know they new and
ready.

I will put a link to some pictures on the samba after a bit.
