[T3] milage spec to change Diff oil with auto trans?

I checked the boots and they are good , no cracks or holes . I haven't
checked the CV joint bolts since 2002 . I plan on doing so when I change the
trans fluid and Diff oil . I want to do it all at one time so I don't need
to raise the car up more than needed..

I see that checking the CV bolts is part of the norm and in the Bentley .

I keep reading about that pinion seal between the final drive and trans .
If I knew when I had the drive train out then I would have replaced it. One
Samb member said one day he saw a puddle of trans fluid on the floor and the
next day the Diff was junk. I can't see how trans fluid would get past the
large O-ring and gasket and find it's way on the floor unless the trans was
loose to the diff housing. or the O-ring was bad.

I was not on any VW forums until 2009 so I missed out on things that are
not in the Bentley . I always did the oil changes and valves and checked the
trans fluid and changed it , missed the part in the Bentley about checking
the CV bolts which was my own ignorence. I do see a bit of wet on both CV
joints which very well may be loose bolts allowing grease to leak out and
sling. Also checking the trans pan bolts is part of keeping things going. I
have the socket for the CV bolts and the one for the Diff plugs . I'll need
to look at the left side to see if it's diff oil or CV grease the right side
does not have any signs on the shock .

I have been lax on keeping things checked , mainly because I don't drive
the car much 1,500 miles since 2009 is nothing. Yet that's no excuse for
keeping on top of things .
