[T3] fuel pressure gauge

My experience with fuel pressure is that if the car sits for a long time the regulator can go south or lose adjustment.

My original FPR changed adjustment after the car had sat for half a dozen years. The pressure was down to 24 psi, which would not allow a proper spray pattern from the injectors. Re-adjusted, it worked fine for another 8 years or so.

Then I parked the car for almost 6 months while I did engine work, and upon start-up, it leaked at the seam and, finally, had to be replaced after 45 years.

In both cases, it may have been drying out, or rusting without gas to displace oxygen. In either case, it’s worth noting non-operation precipitated both failures.

I would adjust to 28-29 psi. Aiming for the center of the spec will allow error in the gauge no hurt you the least, on average.

As posted, watch for the tiny sealing washer under that fine threaded screw. It WILL leak without it, or if careless R&R has spoiled the smooth sealing surface of the tee-adapter or the screw.

Anyone know the screw size? A spare in the ashtray might be a lifesaver some dark day.
