Have you tried setting the pressure sensor adjusting screw back to 
where I calibrated it? That's where I'd start. I'd also take out the 
resistor, since that's telling the brain that you're not fully warmed 
up, so it will richen the mixture.

A speedo cable needs to be "adjusted" when you install it. There 
should be no extra loops or excess length in the cable. Was it your 
photo I recall that showed a large loop of speedo cable dropping down 
under the dash? That just means that someone has sold you the wrong 
cable. Frankly, I don't know if the right cable is still available 
anywhere, but I might have a good used one. They generally last 
forever.

To put one in, do the full physical install first: both ends, 
including the circlip or cotter pin at the wheel. Reach inside the 
wheel and push the housing in as far as it will go. Then pull it out 
as far as it will go. Then slip it halfway back in.  

In other words, install it in the middle of its free play.

If it still squeals, send the speedo to me to work over. You can use 
a small screwdriver to spin the speedo to see if it has any tight 
spots. It should feel completely free, with no drag at all.
