Jim I cleaned the advance plate that I removed out of the 72 AF Dist and
lubed it and placed it in the AH which I'm using since I cleaned and lubed
it in 2009 .

They advance plates are different design yet fit the same . I did this
because the Pertronix base plate sits right on top of the braid ground on
the AH plate . The AF plate has the screw mount ball clip and the AH has one
that snaps on a nub on the bottom of the lower plate and the shorter ground
braid .

I also dragged printer paper between the trigger point contacts and they
had grease on them and lubed the cam with Bosch Dist grease.
