state farm lets me suspend with a phone call, and leave the plates on.
that way I can switch between the winterat and summer car with ease,

My local independent agent lets me insure any of my normally parked
cars with only a phone call. I pay for comprehensive year-round, so
they are already listed, so adding collision & liability is easy. If
I just want it for a weekend, they take the call and do nothing
unless something goes wrong.

It makes little sense to put full coverage on a car that you only
drive a few days a year.
