I agree there. I am looking for a more universal tool.

That one is great for the two vw tasks.

The torque-meister tool has been a huge help on my Type 3 and Type 1. It’s easy as hell to get the rear axle nuts off, and  it’s just as easy to remove the gland nut from your flywheel. If you’ll ever have to deal with your rear brakes or wheel bearings or break down a motor, then buying the tool more than pays for itself. I got this one:
