I should add that the brass on brass situation is really a poor situation. Once 
one of them starts to wear, they will gall to one another and the wear rate 
goes WAY up. It's much better if you have dissimilar metals. At least one of 
them should be hard and smooth. Think about an engine bearing: some sort 
of soft metal running against hard, shiny steel.
