[T3] Time for an engine

Well Im certainly curious too, see what it looks like in there
after 27 years. I have pix of the cylinders when I last did the heads,
but that was 55Kmi ago, at that time they looked perfectly smooth but
worn past ALL the hone marks.

The autopsy may have to wait till I get the Tbird done though.

Hothe got a bath tonight, washed a quart of dino off the back... another
in a long string of rainy weekends this year may well keep me home
and although I though of driving it a bit more, nothing like having time
available to put it under the knife and get this project going.

Would be great to get some pictures of the engine torn down and see what
ware looks like on a high mileage engine like this.

Hothe has been lax on the hills for a while, and was a bit winded on the way
home

so before doing its tuneup and getting another case of oil I did a
compression test.

all were 110 but #2 was at 60psi! squirted some oil in there and got it up
to 80 but it

looks like at 165Kmi this engine is finally done.

I did say that if it got me to the invasion and home it owed me nothing...

This is the motor that has one of the last sets of heads that Russ did, just
before the 2010 invasion, he got them done in time so that I could go!

and I wondered at the time weather I was putting alot of money and time into
and old motor that didnt have much left

but somehow Russ' spirit got in there too as Thats the only thing I can
imagine that made this last so long and boy did I

get my value out of those heads, that was 55K mi ago!

All things must come to an end someday and now its time to get the T4 motor
back out, prepped and well... I know what Ill be doing

for a while!

I guess its T4 power to the next invasion... and clean windshields behind
me! :-)
