Gary, I used a gasket scraper when I did that the last time.
You only need to lift it about a 1/2 inch on the teeth side.
Make sure you send the scrapper all the way to the front of that lip.

Mike: Really don't want to buy a BLACK Cargo Mat.
I would rather have a mat that was the original brown.

But I didn't see an answer to "How do I "untrap" the front edge of the
original cargo mat?"
