They are easy to tell apart. The MT starter has a shaft that sticks 
out maybe ~1/2" all by itself and expects to get support from a 
bushing in the MT housing. The AT starter does not have that shaft 
sticking out and does not need support from the AT housing; it's 
completely self supporting.
