Brian, do you still have a headliner in the car? If not, look for the flippers at the rear of the opening. Those are connected to the cables. You might also have the steel piece missing that causes the cables to mesh together (opening/closing the sunroof).

So, i still have a handle on place,  but I am guessing I do not have
connected cables (if any) as I can just push and pull the metal sith my
