Well that makes me feel better as the machinist mentioned just that, making
a ring to hold the cylinder on the machine.

Who does a reliable job of boring out VW jugs, and can you do that without 
suffering the problems of getting the walls too thin? Are there pistons that

are just slightly larger than stock, so minimal boring is necessary?

I didn't realize that Jake was not doing this any more. Hmmm, too many 
problems and comebacks. Maybe that's a sign....

What does Jake do now?
