I'm afraid normal salvage yards are unlikely to be any help in this hunt. This 
is 3 years before VW started importing ANY Type 3s into the US, plus, the 
cars that had these cylinders, Notches and Type 34s, were NEVER imported 
here.

This is very much a specialist's item.
