I'm aware that some members don't, or don't know how, to "trim" their
posts.

The result is that other members have to wade through volumes of previous
entries to get to messages on which they wish to comment or answer.

Greg Merritt (our Type 3 Website Administrator) has posted "Trim your
posts" many times.

Maybe a member/"computer wizzard" can post a step-by-step tutorial on How
to Trim Your Message. ???

To answer Jim A.'s post on Batteries:

1.) Thanks for reassuring me, regarding my DC voltage reading, appears to
be normal and should be sufficient to start the engine and allow the
generator to maintain an adequate level of charging.
2.) The Ray-O-Vac battery came from Batteries + Bulbs in Madison, WI. I
will check if they stock or can order a Group 90 battery.
3.) The Group 42 battery that I bought is a "sealed" battery with no
removable caps, so I can't see the condition or color of the plates.
4.) I will leave the Maintainer hooked up to the battery for another week
or two. Maybe the A/C line voltage at that receptacle will boost the
resting DC voltage beyond that plateau and bring the voltage closer to 14.0
VDC.
