[T3] Starter motors

Well I just got back from Midlothian VA and now have 7500mi on the 2056 and
all is still well, taken off the 

AFR meter and thermocouple (hard to take OFF instrumentation) and have most
of the tweaking done.

 

So,

 

The question is, starter motors.  The stock starter struggles a bit with the
big motor, especially after a long highway haul on a hot day.

what do folks use on the bigger builds

With the OEM transmission? There is the auto starter, but a good core is
hard to find and ive always felt that the ad's for 

"high torque" aftermarket starters were just an advertising ploy and they
wouldn't last.

 

Any other makes of car use our same "hole" for a starter?
