Found it, but it's about Alcoa forgings, not castings. On the off chance that
Alcoa also made one about castings, I just checked my favorite online
source and found: Designing for Alcoa Die Castings (hard cover.) Yeah, it's
from 1949, but for under $7, including shipping, I bought it anyway. Should
see it next week.

This site has been a terrific source for out of print books for me for many
years.

www.alibris.com

They include inventory from bookstores all over the world. If there's
something you want that's not immediately available, you can set up a
search and alibris will let you know when they find one. Works great! A few
years ago I was looking for a particular tech book that was long out of print. I
set up a lookout on alibris and a year later got a hit from somewhere on the
US right coast. They wanted $220, plus shipping. I asked if their decimal
point had slipped. They said no, so I said no.

Six months later, someplace in New Zealand showed up with it. I bought it
for about US$12, including shipping! Arrived in perfect condition. ;-)
