[T3] Dist oil port above dist drive?

From my understanding  this oil is a splash not actual oil pressure .

 I was curious , say the fiber washers on the dist drive end from age  fell
apart would they get down in the engine oil in the sump? Or worse a metal
shim which I find are intact with just a bit of wear.
