Okay, Melissa and I are set to join as many of you as can make it to the
Cincinnati Volkswagen-Porsche-Audi Reunion at the end of this month. I just
made reservations for three nights, 9/23-9/26. The VW show is only Sunday,
but it looks like there should be plenty to do in Cincy on Saturday.

The Hampton Inn that Dave mentioned seemed to be rather booked up, so I went
on Google Earth to see if there was anything else nearby, and it turns out
that this area is crammed with motels. Melissa has a Best Western rewards
card, so that's where we'll be. It looks like it's about 200 yards from the
Hampton Inn, as the crow flies, but maybe a quarter mile by road. I might be
able to drive the 200 yards if it's possible to drive across some narrow
grass strips.

The Best Western, Mason, Ohio is also about $50/night cheaper, at least for
BW members. Their direct phone number is (513) 336-7911.

I plan to get our orange '71 square out on Wednesday, in the hope that I can
make sure it's roadworthy. It hasn't been out since our drive to the Alabama
Invasion, although I start it and run the engine occasionally. How long ago
was that? Seems like ages!
