The throttle cable returns , one of the first things I checked. If I drive
it and let it cool off overnight I feel a bit of a sticking so I tap the
pedal once and it clears. I can force it to happen if I close the throttle
on the IAD then try. Last time I replaced the pedal pad and cleaned all the
junk on the pedal assembly , lubed the roller and cable hook and replaced
the pedal spring.. What fixed the sticking last time was lubing the cable
barrel on the IAD arm.

I do have another TPS that I can try , I cleaned the old one last time and
it works but it could stick , it's possible. I'm just going to try to
eliminate the simple mechanical stuff first then go from there. All I do
know is whatever the issue is that it's not destroying the engine. I did
fix a spare bent distributor hold down I have and have the other dist the
AG ready just in case. Still anything that can cause the idle to hang, say
a vacuum leak will raise the RPM and in turn the timing will advance. I was
hoping the AAR was the issue , and would have been a lot easier fix than
this sort of thing. The only good part is I have the spare parts.
