Your best bet for a transmission rebuild on the east coast is Matt Steedle in New Jersey. 

You can find him on Instagram @mattsteedletransmissions

He does great work, has all the tools and nice stocks of NOS bearings and parts. Nice dude too. 

He is busy so best is to plan in advance with him about 6 months out.
