Well, tonight I'm also in Tucumcari, and now that I've looked around, it's 
clear that my memory was faulty. We never stayed at the Blue Swallow. It 
was always full when we tried to get in. I'm across the street and 100 yards 
farther west at the Safari.

Interesting that the Blue Swallow also had dial phones and a dog in the 
lobby, just like the Safari, but now the Safari has a new owner and the dog 
and phones are gone. The new owner is a nice guy who's into music and 
runs a very low power FM station with great music and no commercials.

Next time I'll try to get into the Blue Swallow.

Tried to eat at Del's tonight, but there was an hour wait. Good Mexican food 
instead. There's no sign of Chewy's, so that must be a different town. Maybe 
I'll come across it again someday. It's somewhere in this part of the country.

Tomorrow, Santa Fe.

Was the VW meet in Las Vegas, NV or Las Vegas, NM? I'll be driving thru 
Las Vegas, NM tomorrow.

I stopped by the Mid Point Cafe earlier today. Got there just as they were 
closing, at 4 PM. They offered food and drink to go, but I only took a photo.
