Oh NO! JIM! the Smart Phone! you were one of my only last hold outs!
OK, time to fess up a bit, I got and Apple for work and now that im in
London for 2 weeks
ive had some of the time to noodle with it and yea, it has its uses
but im still not that person constantly holding and poking it. Made it
all the way to Dave and Anne's without pulling it out once!
For safety and long trips though, its a good idea and im sure your
Daughter feels alot better
being able to follow you along. Need you to stay safe and fit for the
drive out to Eau Claire next summer!

Turns out that I'm also "On the Road." I had to prove to myself and
my
daughter that I'm still capable of long drives by myself, so I
accepted an
invitation to visit some friends who live near the upper west coast
of
Michigan. Turns out that they have come down with sore throats, so
I'm
currently in a motel in Traverse City, MI.
Let me know if there are any other Type 3ers in this area. I'll be
here for 2-3
days.
So far, so good. I finally bought a smart phone and, with the help of
a lot of
good friends and family, I'm learning my way thru my "beginner's
license."
I came the long way, up to the U.P. and over the top and down the
Macinac
Bridge. I'll go back the same way in a few days. I've been here once
before,
but that was with my parents, probably in 1958, just after the bridge
was
finished in late 1957. The view from the top of the span is quite
impressive.

Ghia. Great weather to cruise in...didnt even need the A/C. The Ghia
is running great. Got 26.5 mpg on the first tank full. Such a fun and
easy car to drive.
