[T3] Removing Oil Pump - In car

All of the oil pumps I have used have a very thin gasket between the pump
and the cover. Berg ones, ones from CIP, CB Performance, and gasket sets
all come with the gasket.
Once the oil pump is checked, remember to check the length of the shaft
that is driven by the cam. Too short will loose drive and too long will
prevent the cover from sealing properly or will affect the cam or cam
bearings. Then check the fit of the 2 gears in the pump and the indexing of
the gears.
I have also found that using a 30mm pump instead of 26mm you need to
clearance the inner fan housing to get clearance to the pump cover.
I believe you can get to the pump with the engine in the car but as
previously stated, it is a lot of work and probably easier to pull the
engine so it is easier to work on the pump
