Yea, I had it built by the northeast version of this guy, Jim Ure.  Maybe the new synchro hub he installed was bad or something, im
Going to pull it again (seems the engine is out for something every fall) and go in there again, shipping these is no longer possible,  hopefully this is the last time I have to touch
The drivetrain for another decade or 2, the Tbird is vanquished to the tent for the winter when the square is apart, and it really shouldn’t be in there.

I checked with a Northwest VW Machinist who has built 100drds of engines and trans about why the trany ppp out  of 4th gear and this is what  he responded:

"Needs a new synchro hub and possibly slider"

Most VW people in the NW who need machine work or want to have a great  engine built go to him.  He has been doing VW work for over 30 years and I haven't heard of anyone having an issue with his work.  He did the 3rd & 4th gear for the trany in our Notch as well as all the machining for our bugs or notch engine.
