I checked with a Northwest VW Machinist who has built 100drds of
engines and trans about why the trany ppp out of 4th gear and this is
what he responded:
"Needs a new synchro hub and possibly slider"
Most VW people in the NW who need machine work or want to have a great
engine built go to him. He has been doing VW work for over 30 years
and I haven't heard of anyone having an issue with his work. He did
the 3rd & 4th gear for the trany in our Notch as well as all the
machining for our bugs or notch engine.
If you want to contact him E-mail: timsacvw at gmail.com, Phone: 253-205-1059
