[T3] No Start....but odd....

A 6V battery will go down to 4.5 (at the battery posts) with a bad starter
bushing... they draw stall current under those conditions and that really
drags things down, I wonder how low a 12v battery goes with the starter
motor stalled??

it got the thing going, without having to rev or anything.

Any time the battery is sluggish and you wonder where the real
problem is, the thing to do is to put a voltmeter across the battery
POSTS, while someone else turns the key.

If the battery voltage stays high while the starter labors there is a
problem with the starter or one (some?) of the connections between
the battery and the starter.

If the battery voltage drops below 12 V while the starter labors,
then the problem is probably in the battery. It could be a bad
battery or it may just need a good charge.
