Oddly, hydraulic components use inch (imperial) measurements - hence 7/8" is
equivalent to about 22.2mm. It used to puzzle me that VW used such odd
numbers of mm until Jim (I think) pointed it out!

Actually I.I.R.C. the bore is 22.2mm.
Why are you replacing? If they are German they should be saved: not making
that quality anymore. ;) You can get a hone and rebuild kit at your
F.LA.P.S., Jack has been doing this for a long time. If no wetness or
corrosion in the bore or cups, I would reuse them.
If you really have to replace, 1302 and 1303 rear wheel cylinders will work.
